Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 12 July 2026

These terms govern your use of shhukriya.in and the Shhukriya service. By using the site, scanning a Shhukriya QR code, or subscribing as a restaurant, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Shhukriya is operated by Parth Shah, sole proprietor, trading as Shhukriya (“Shhukriya”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at hello@shhukriya.com or +91 97739 90794.

2. What the service is

Shhukriya lets restaurant guests send tips directly to the staff who served them. Guests scan a QR code at the table, see the story of the restaurant and its team, choose one or more staff members, and pay by UPI, card or netbanking. Restaurants subscribe to Shhukriya to offer this to their guests and to manage staff, tables and stories from an admin panel.

3. Tips

  • Tips are voluntary gratuities from a guest to restaurant staff. They are not payment for goods or services and are not required by any restaurant.
  • Shhukriya takes no commission from tips. The amount a guest sends is routed to the staff members the guest selects, according to the split the guest or the restaurant's settings define.
  • Payments are collected and settled by an RBI-regulated payment aggregator. Funds move through the aggregator's escrow arrangement to staff. Shhukriya does not hold guest funds in its own bank account.
  • A tip becomes final when it is captured by the payment aggregator. See our Refunds & Cancellations policy for what happens with failed, duplicate or mistaken payments.

4. Restaurant subscriptions

  • Restaurants pay Shhukriya a setup fee and a recurring subscription fee, as agreed at onboarding. Current commercial terms are available on request: see our Pricing page.
  • Invoices are issued for every charge and are available in the restaurant's billing panel.
  • If a subscription remains unpaid past its grace period, we may suspend the restaurant's admin panel. Suspension never blocks tips in progress or payouts owed to staff.
  • Restaurants may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. See Refunds & Cancellations for details.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for any unlawful purpose, including money laundering or disguising the source of funds;
  • send payments that are not genuine gratuities for hospitality service;
  • attempt to access accounts, data or systems that are not yours;
  • interfere with the operation or security of the service.

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms.

6. Payment processing

Online payments are processed by third-party payment aggregators licensed by the Reserve Bank of India. When you pay, you also agree to the aggregator's terms. Shhukriya never sees or stores your card number, UPI PIN or banking credentials.

7. Intellectual property

The Shhukriya name, site, software and design are our property. Restaurant stories, photographs and staff profiles remain the property of the restaurant or the individuals concerned; by publishing them through Shhukriya the restaurant grants us a licence to display them to guests as part of the service.

8. Liability

We provide the service with care, but it is offered as is, without warranties of uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited, for restaurants, to the subscription fees paid to us in the three months preceding the claim, and for guests, to the amount of the payment giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date above shows the latest revision. Material changes affecting restaurants will be notified to the owner's registered email before they take effect.

10. Governing law and grievances

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction. Questions, complaints and grievances go to hello@shhukriya.com or +91 97739 90794. We aim to acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours. See also our Privacy Policy and Refunds & Cancellations policy.
